2012 Elections & Awards

We have four positions open for election during our 2012 conference:  Vice-chair, Secretary, Non-Union Site Representative, and Director at Large.  If you are interested in getting more involved in the Region, serving on the board is a great way to do so.

All candidates for board positions must belong to VPPPA Associate or Full member sites in good standing and must present a signed letter of commitment from their site’s top manager.  This commitment letter ensures the candidate has full support of their site for time and travel to participate in the Association’s activities and conferences.

Awards are another way we recognize those people in our region who are committed to VPP and the Association.  The award we most love to present in Region VIII is our Bervin Hall Award, presented to the person who we feel most exemplifies the qualities that VPPPA is all about – Passion for safety, sharing knowledge, and helping each other succeed.  If you or someone you know in your organization represents the best that VPPPA has to offer, nominate them for the Bervin Hall Award! 

To nominate someone for this award, please send an email to Tony Stoner at f_tonys@marvin.com with the name of the person you are nominating, the company they work for, and a paragraph explaining why you feel they deserve this award.  Don’t be afraid to sing your praises – we have many people who do excellent work in our region, so let’s give them the recognition they deserve!
